In the simplest definition, Hydroponics is the method of growing plants in a water-based solution generally indoors. One of the biggest differences to note about hydroponics is that it doesn’t use soil; instead you use a ‘growing media’ such as perlite, rockwool, clay pellets, etc. What growing media you use will depend on which hydroponics system you decide to set up; Ebb & Flow, Deepwater Culture, Drip System. Hydroponics can be done in the smallest of spaces inside your home to allow you to grow year-round. So what can you grow in a hydroponics system? In short terms, pretty much anything! Tomatoes, Lettuce, Eggplant, Cucumber, Pumpkin, Strawberries, Blueberries, Basil, Peppers, Green Onions, Spinach, Green Beans, Sweet Potato & so much more.
Even though ‘hydroponics’ technically means a water-based growing system, it is still possible to grow soil-based plants indoors. And that’s where we come in to help. By providing extra nutrients, tents, lights, pest control and everything else your indoor & outdoor soil growing plants need!
Hydroponics is an amazing system that allows you to grow the biggest and best of all your favorite produce/plants year-round! This happens because your plants aren’t working as hard to obtain nutrients like they would be in soil, so they focus on growing instead of strengthening their root system. Having complete control over temperature, ventilation, irrigation systems, nutrients, pests and more is a huge benefit of hydroponics. Plants generally mature 25% faster and produce 30% more than those in soil because of the ability to control its growing surroundings. Now all this sounds amazing, however it is only attainable with the proper set-up, nutrients, pH levels and education; which we have an abundance of at #HydroInc
