Hydroponics In a Nutshell

In the simplest definition, Hydroponics is the method of growing plants in a water-based solution indoors. One of the biggest differences to note about hydroponics is that it doesn’t use soil; instead you use a ‘growing media’ such as perlite, rockwool, clay pellets, etc. What growing media you use will depend on which hydroponics system you decide to set up; Ebb & Flow, Deepwater Culture, Drip System. Hydroponics can be done in the smallest of spaces inside your home to allow you to grow year-round. So what can you grow in a hydroponics system? In short terms, pretty much anything! Tomatoes, Lettuce, Eggplant, Cucumber, Pumpkin, Strawberries, Blueberries, Basil, Peppers, Green Onions, Spinach, Green Beans, Sweet Potato & so much more.

Even though hydroponics is water-based growing system, soil-based growing indoors is very popular. At #Hydro Inc we specialize in hydroponic, indoor soil and outdoor grows and have everything you need to ensure a successful harvest!
